The UK Tabletop Industry Network

The UK Tabletop Industry Network (TIN) is a networking and knowledge-sharing organisation for professionals, aspiring professionals, and hobbyists in the British tabletop gaming scene. We offer guidance and opportunities for collaboration between creators of board games, roleplaying games, card games, and miniatures games. Our ranks include writers, designers, artists, production staff, influencers, retailers, and more.

TIN has been connecting tabletop professionals since 2019, with monthly socials in London and online interaction through our Discord and other social media channels. After toughing through the pandemic, 2023 proved to be TIN’s most successful year yet, with a new mailing list, socials in Manchester, and stalls at the UK’s biggest tabletop conventions all drawing attention to TIN and the amazing games designed by our creators.

We have big plans for expanding TIN. We want to host socials in more cities, get to more conventions, and meet more creators who could benefit from our help. We’re engineering opportunities for creators to share knowledge and resources, and putting people in touch so they can collaborate directly. We’re looking to host bigger and better events, tailored to suit the needs of our community.

These plans cost money. For years TIN has been powered by the tireless efforts of our volunteers, but making the organisation sustainable means compensating people for their expenses and time, so they can afford to keep giving TIN their all. If you believe in what TIN is doing – if you’ve benefitted from our work so far, see opportunities to benefit in the future, or believe British tabletop deserves a professionally operated trade organisation – we hope you’ll consider funding the next stage of our journey.

Accessibility is central to TIN’s ethos. We don’t want our help to be gated behind a paywall. TIN is for everyone, and creators will always be welcome to attend our events, whether they’re a Patreon backer or not. Whilst we hope to provide useful benefits for our funders, backers shouldn’t expect that supporting us financially provides exclusive access to services that will be denied to our other members. The reason to back us is because you believe in what TIN is doing, and want to see it continue to thrive and provide benefits to the whole community. We can’t wait to have you on board.
